Blessing Day

So I know this is a little late, but I guess that is better than never.

We actually blessed Porter in Idaho so that our family could come. He was blessed August 31. It was really special for us because our best friends Adam and Randi Huntsman had a little boy just 2 days before Porter was born and they blessed him August 30. They had a BBQ afterwards and we were able to go and celebrate their baby Noah. Then for Porter's special day they came to our BBQ afterwards. Chant was in Noah's circle and Adam in Porter's.

The circle consisted of Chant, my brother Kirk, my brother Kasey, Chant's father Kerry, Adam, and the Bishopric.

We had the blessing at Church and then a BBQ following at my parents' home. It was so nice to have everyone together. Chant's mom, his sister Kristy, and his Aunt Linda from Denver came. Then his Dad and step-mom Frances were there. We haven't seen them for a year, so it was special to have them there. Then my brothers and their families were all there. It was just a wonderful day to celebrate Porter and the importance of family and friends.
