Porter Boy (as he is affectionately called by Ainsley) is now 4 months old! I cannot believe how fast it has gone! He is the best baby. He only cries when he is hungry or tired or sick. He is quick to smile and giggle. Last Monday we took him in for his 4 month check up. He is now 16 pounds 12 ounces and 25 1/2 inches long. He is such a big boy!
September 25 was the first time he rolled over. He went from his tummy to his back. Then October 7 he rolled from his back to his belly. He sits on his side for a long time before plopping over onto his tummy.
September 30 was his first time eating rice cereal. At first he made a funny face and wasn't sure about it, but now he loves it. He lifts his head to meet the spoon. And then when he gets it in his mouth he smiles.
About mid-September I noticed that he was becoming very expressive. He often lifts his eyebrows when he is observing things. He also does it when I am playing with him. He almost has this look as if to say, "Oh mom, what are you doing?" He has shifty eyes as we call it. He looks back and forth really quickly all the time. He coos all the time. He is really just a pleasant, happy baby. I am so glad to have my boy!
Yesterday at church there was a little girl playing on the floor beside us. I had Porter on my lap and he was looking down at the girl watching her play. Every time she would swat at the toy hanging from her carseat handle, Porter would laugh. It was a gut laugh too. SO cute!!! He loves to watch the girls play. His head follows their every move. It will be so fun when he can get in there and join them.

What a handsome little guy. It was fun to read about your four month old. These are good things to remember.
