January 19 Chant had the day off for Martin Luther King Jr Day. It was a beautiful day with lots of sunshine, so we took advantage. We went to the pier and the kids climbed the lookout. I get sick to my stomach just looking up at the thing. Me and heights aren't friends. So I waved at them from the bottom.
Along the shoreline is a beautiful walking path. The kids ran from the pier down to the trail for a walk. We had just reached the path when Chant got a phone call. It was from the hospital billing department calling to schedule a job interview. We did a little happy dance right there and then took off on a celebratory walk.
We had just made it back to the car when the sky turned dark and the rain started. Perfect timing!
For Christmas Aunty Kristy and Uncle Mike sent us pillows and money to buy fabric to make these cute pillow beds. We let each child pick their material and later that same afternoon Brinnley and Chant sewed them together. They are perfect for sleepovers in each other's rooms or the basement. The kids love them!
