The evening went so well and it was a huge success, until the last house. We were on our way home and there was one door that no one had been home at before. Brinn ran up to the door with a group of kids. The house is on the corner and the rest of us were still walking up the side of it. When the door opened someone growled/screamed. Then Brinnley screamed. She ran back to us saying, "Don't let Porter and Ainsley go up there!" Jen saw what was inside. Right in front of the door was a body and then when the person opened the door they held out a head that had "blood" on the neck. She said it looked real. No wonder Brinn was scared! We had been explaining that all the scary things weren't real, but how do you understand that when it does look real? She was crying and shaking. We hit one more house where a nice ladybug opened the door, wanting to end the night on a good note. (That night she came out of her room a couple different times saying when she closed her eyes all she could see was that head. A quick prayer and she was finally able to sleep. Poor thing was a little traumatized.)
Opa came all dressed from his school party. He looked great, so we had to take his picture!
It was a fantastic day!
