All is well
It's 8:30 a.m. I am washing my second load of laundry right now. Three more loads are waiting. Two loads of clean clothes are on my bed needing to be folded. I am doing my first load of dishes with one more to go. My bathrooms are freshly cleaned. There is a lengthy list of things to do today and another lengthy list of things to pack sitting on my counter. Porter is sleeping and the girls are happily playing while I run around the house frantically trying to get something done. And yet I am happy. My children are happy and healthy, my husband is working hard studying for finals that I know he will do great on. I smile to myself as I try to catch up on all the chores I have let slide this past week because I can recall each and every fun thing I did instead of chores. A birthday party for the girls' friends, dinner at friends' house accompanied by an Easter egg hunt for the kids and fabulous conversation, a girls night out, a baby shower, visiting teaching, making/eating pancakes with the Young Women, a beautiful morning at the park with my children, the temple, a date with my husband, church. Whew! What a week! I also smile because I know why I am working so frantically. Mom, Dad, brothers, sister-in-laws, Mother-in-law, father-in-law, nieces, nephews, friends, new adventures. So even though my day with be filled with cleaning and work, I am truly happy. For this one moment, all is well.

That is a great perspective. Thank you for reminding me that when life seems crazy or busy, it is for something truly wonderful. I'm going to be packing today and hope I have your positive attitude. Good luck girlie and have fun with your fam!
Glad to hear it. I hope you have a great trip. Wish Chant luck on his finals for us!
Wish I could be there to watch your kids for a bit for you! Sounds like you're doing great though! I bet you are so excited to go home! I know it's always hectic before you leave, but it's worth it, right?
Can't get better than that...really! I hope Chant does well on finals!
I love you Kara!

i'm anxiously awaiting everyone getting home. Let's get together soon, while everyone is well! Family home evening? Lunch at the park? Dinner at the park? All 3? It's just been FAR too long. ANd I won't stand for it any LONGER. :)
